Dear friends:

We are excited to tell you about a new opportunity for our puppet team and friends.   In February of 2005, we have the opportunity to take a one-week mission trip to Mexico.   Doors are opening, and opportunity abounds for ministry in Mexico.

Way of the Cross Ministries (www.wotc.com), based out of Harlingen, Texas, will arrange our trip to Nuevo Padilla, Mexico.  We will have the opportunity to share the gospel with the people of Mexico.  Joe and Brenda recently returned from a trip there in January, and found the people incredibly open to the gospel.  (You can see their journals and pictures on the Praise Gang web site – www.praisegangpuppeteers.org)   God is faithful in bringing the right people to the area for the right time.  The success of each trip is dependent upon the prayer support of the team going in.

In January 2004, Joe and Brenda traveled down with Faith Church to Nuevo Padilla.  God was so apparent in how he worked through the team on that trip.   Shortly after that trip, we felt God leading our puppet ministry to walk out in faith by planning our own trip.  In October 2004, Joe and Tim went down on a trip with the Faith Church.  This was an opportunity for Tim, as our chaplain, to see what would be involved in the trip, and to start getting things arranged for the work we would be doing in February.

Praise God, plans are well under way for our trip in February.  In addition to the evangelism we will be doing, we will be taking down a puppet stage, puppets and props to Nuevo Padilla.  We plan to hold a small children's ministry conference for the Mexican Christians, and train them in how to use these for ministry.   We will also be able to teach balloons, illusions and more.

Please pray for our team as we prepare.  We are working on the puppet stage, we have some puppets, we have Spanish puppet trax.  But even more than our supplies and plans, please pray that our hearts will be ready.  We have no idea what situations we will be in, but we do know that without prayer, our plans are useless.   Only what God has planned is important.
